So today went well,
We had three classes:
First course will cover the Anterior Abdomen and its contents within, as in organs, tissues, cells and the blood supply, innervation, and common pathologies therein. Also, we will be learning history taking, diagnostics, and examinations as it relates to this area. Our professor seems great, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She calls on everyone, and anyone throughout the class.
Next, we had subluxation theory course. This course will review how peripheral nervous system, spinal cord and tracts, neurogenic inflammation, and neuroimmunological factors relate to the subluxation complex.
If you don’t know what subluxation is, the WHO definition (via Wikipedia) of the chiropractic vertebral subluxation is:
“A lesion or dysfunction in a joint or motion segment in which alignment, movement integrity and/or physiological function are altered, although contact between joint surfaces remains intact. It is essentially a functional entity, which may influence biomechanical and neural integrity.”
Our last class today is called, Genitourinary physiology and pathology. So, it will review concepts like the different types of fluid within our bodies, how they may be affected by various hormones, diet, and disease with regards the kidney at its associated counterparts. I’ll fill you in as I learn more.
Overall, a good day…
